David Lynch has taken on Zola Jesus and the result is a song that crawls slowly to sensual, cinematic perfection. It’s gloriously moody for a rainy day weekend.

I’ve always thought of Zola, real name Nika Roza Danilova, as a dark princess, even with her platinum blond hair. So a collaboration with Lynch, whose work tends toward the dreamy and surreal, is a match made in…some alternate universe where nothing and everything makes sense.

Zola Jesus – In Your Nature (David Lynch Remix) by sacredbones

The original version of the track appeared on her acclaimed 2011 album “Contaus” and the remix will be available as a 7-incle single and download via Sacred Bones records.

Don’t miss Zola at the Natural History Museum as part of First Fridays (presented by KCRW) on March 2 (with EMA opening).
