Onra is a Parisian producer who has displayed growth through out his years as a producer and artist. I first came across this 2007 release entitled Les Chinoiseries which mixed Chinese pop records he had purchased in Viet Nam and mixing these samples with 90 bpm beats. It was unlike anything else I had heard before.
His latest release entitled Long Distance demonstrates his love for 80's synth boogie soul. He chops of the sounds of The Gap Band & Midnight Star into these 1/2 time hypnotized beats that instantly make the listener head bob.
