Resident DJ

KCRW’s Resident DJ is a sonic laboratory where artists are invited to reinvent, reimagine, and lean into their most eclectic, creative impulses. Expect big swings unfettered by genre, format, or any of the other structures typically associated with a club mix… and not just from established DJs — musicians, creators, and organizations from the farthest reaches of the cultural landscape will be stepping up to the decks. Each month, a new Resident DJ takes over and curates fresh hour-long mixes every Thursday night just for KCRW.

Resident DJ airs new episodes every Thursday night from 10p-11p, immediately followed by an encore of a previous episode from 11p-Midnight. They can be streamed anytime on the KCRW app.

Christina Hendricks is an internationally-renowned actor and performer, best known for her iconic role as Joan Holloway on Mad Men. Following a chance encounter with musician Mary Lattimore, Hendricks has since become a charismatic presence behind the decks, including a widely-hailed "Shoe Pop Dream Gaze" vinyl set at San Diego's Part Time Lover in April 2026. Christina is KCRW's Resident DJ for November 2026.
