About Resident DJ

KCRW’s Resident DJ is a sonic laboratory where artists are invited to reinvent, reimagine, and lean into their most eclectic, creative impulses. Expect big swings unfettered by genre, format, or any of the other structures typically associated with a club mix… and not just from established DJs — musicians, creators, and organizations from the farthest reaches of the cultural landscape will be stepping up to the decks. Each month, a new Resident DJ takes over and curates fresh hour-long mixes every Friday just for KCRW.

Resident DJ airs every Thursday night/Friday morning from midnight to 1 a.m. PT, and can be streamed anytime on the KCRW app.

Arlo Parks has been a KCRW mainstay since the arrival of her debut album, Collapsed in Sunbeams, in 2021. She's returned to the station as both performer and guest DJ in the ensuing years, even as her profile has grown to encompass everything from Grammy Awards to UNICEF ambassadorship. For KCRW's Resident DJ series, Parks will take the driver's seat for an extended road trip through her varied musical landscapes in July 2026.
