Jennifer Lee, aka TOKiMONSTA, got her start in the beat battles of Leimert Park, and quickly carved out a space in the legendary Low End Theory scene out of Lincoln Heights. She was the first female artist to join Flying Lotus's Brainfeeder label/collective and has since started her own imprint, Young Art. Her most recent album is 2025's Eternal Reverie. She joins KCRW as our Resident DJ for January 2026. Her second mix includes music by Jboi, Sam Tiba, Villager, and more.

KCRW’s Resident DJ is a sonic laboratory where artists are invited to reinvent, reimagine, and lean into their most eclectic, creative impulses. Expect big swings unfettered by genre, format, or any of the other structures typically associated with a club mix… and not just from established DJs — musicians, creators, and organizations from the farthest reaches of the cultural landscape will be stepping up to the decks. Each month, a new Resident DJ takes over and curates fresh hour-long mixes every Friday just for KCRW.

Resident DJ airs every Thursday night/Friday morning from midnight to 1 a.m. PT, and can be streamed anytime on the KCRW app.
