Inara George: Accidental Experimental

"Accidental Experimental" isn't like a regular record, according to Los Angeles-based singer-songwriter Inara George. The 11-song digital-only release is filled with love letters in many forms, like digging into the back of the closet and bringing out your favorite winter clothes. "Accidental Experimental" isn't like a regular record, according to Los Angeles-based singer-songwriter Inara George. The 11-song digital-only release is filled with love letters in many forms, like digging into the back of the closet and bringing out your favorite winter clothes. And Inara George wears many outfits. Also known for her work as one half of The Bird and The Bee, Inara has simultaneously released solo albums including her 2005 debut All Rise and her follow up An Invitation where she teamed up with veteran producer Van Dyke Parks. For Accidental Experimental, Inara laces her beautiful songs with a mixture of baroque pop, experimental folk, and romantic balladry that fans of both her solo work and band efforts will immediately find familiar and essential.

Accidental Experimental streams on KCRW's Eclectic 24 at 8pm Monday, December 7 and will be available on-demand through January 5, 2010.
