Finnish DJ and producer Otto Yliperttula, better known as Yotto, has taken the electronic scene by storm these past few years. Around his eclectic productions, performances, and an aptly named record label, Odd One Out, he's continued to evolve his individual style with irreverence and humor, built on a deep appreciation for dance music.
His musical journey has led him to perform at some of the world's most renowned festivals and venues, from Coachella and Beyond the Valley to Warung and Printworks. He’s also quite the “It-Boy” remixer for acts like Coldplay, Gorillaz, Diplo, Rüfüs Du Sol and Röyksopp.
Just last year, Yotto released his first studio album, Hyperfall. Critically acclaimed and loved by progressive house aficionados around the globe, the album featured collaborations with other artists like Vok, SØNIN Laudic, leaving a far-reaching impression on the scene. Earlier this summer, Yotto gifted fans with a remix package full of new takes on some of his beloved tracks.
Yotto’s brilliant live DJ set in the Yuma tent at Coachella this past year had us floored. Now, we are thrilled to welcome him to KCRW for an exclusive guest mix for Metropolis.
P.S. Follow Yotto on Instagram to appreciate his incredible sense of humor and love of dank memes.
