Breathe deep into a new week as Bay Area psychedelic soul group Monophonics deliver a full recalibration of your spirit through the timeless sounds of their new album “Sage Motel.” And coming at ya with another teaser from their hotly-tipped album “Excess” — due out June 24 — KCRW regulars Automatic drop “Skyscraper,” a single in their signature post-punky style. It’s “about spending your life making money and then spending it [the money] to fill the void created by said job.”

Last but not least, we have some delightful news for your Monday! Donate before midnight tonight, and you will be automatically entered to win a VIP box at Starlight Bowl on Saturday, July 9 for Common, Lettuce, Nikka Costa, and KCRW DJ Novena Carmel! Plus, enjoy a two-night stay at Hotel Amarano, and food and drinks throughout.
