Fun fact, exactly 15 years ago, our very own Anthony Valadez opened the mic on KCRW for the first time. From that initial 3 to 6 a.m. air shift to his now daily MBE digests — Valadez is an essential part of the KCRW fabric. Know who else is an essential part of the KCRW fabric? YOU!

By now you’ve likely heard about our SOS (Save Our Summer) pledge drive. In honor of AV’s 15 years on the air, we’re throwing out the challenge to you to become a $15 monthly sustaining member. As an added bonus, the first 73 folks to commit to giving monthly before midnight unlock an extra $300 a piece for KCRW. Your support means more KCRW: Live From sessions like the one you’ll find in this edition of MBE with Arlo Parks (peep the video version here). Plus, giveaways like signed vinyl copies of Parks’ latest masterpiece My Soft Machine, tickets to check out Andrew Bird at Pappy & Harriet’s in Pioneertown, and possibly even a box for four during all six of this summer’s KCRW Festival shows at the Hollywood Bowl.
