Sometimes you plan a set around a theme, sometimes a theme emerges organically. The latter is true of this MBE which features the world premiere of rising Chicago band Friko’s explosive take on Radiohead’s “Weird Fishes/Arpeggi.” The fishy fun flows from there with Yot Club’s “Human Nature,” Asha Puthli’s “Flying Fish,” and Tolliver’s “Booyabaze.”
