May 25, 2022

In trying to make sense of the world, we provide your morning soundtrack filled with heart and soul. Today we find comfort in Stevie Wonder’s 1976 release “If It’s Magic,” dance with the Chemical Brothers on “The Darkness That You Fear,” and breathe along with “Sound & Color” from Alabama Shakes.

Plus, we honor your requests with the Edwin Hawkins Singers’ version of the uplifting classic “Ooh Child” and some Bomba Estereo as a reminder of the two-way conversation that is MBE. You’re part of what makes KCRW strong and special and we need you to keep this vital resource alive. It’s the last day of KCRW’s Spring Drive and we have a $50,000 challenge grant to meet by midnight, so please give at any amount and help us continue spreading the love!

Finally, in the theme of filtering our thoughts and feelings through music, we express a load of deep gratitude through Bonnie Raitt’s 1971 release “Thank You.”
