KCRW was an early supporter of Beck back in '93 and this week we’re celebrating the launch of our brand new website with a flashback to some of our favorite sessions over the years. Music Director Chris Douridas invited Beck to perform live within weeks of his first airplay and "MTV Makes Me Want to Smoke Crack" was a standout that you can grab as Today’s Top Tune.

Phosphorescent “New Birth in New England” October brings a much-anticipated full-length recording from Phosphorescent, their first in five years. It's also the story of what took place for the band's founder Matthew Houck during that time; he fell in love, started a family, moved across country, and built a studio from the ground up.
