The word Hawniyaz comes from the Kurdish word meaning ‘together’ or ‘for one another’ and that's precisely what The Hawniyaz Ensemble do. They make beautiful music together uniting Kurdish and Persian music with a hint of the West as they remind us of how enriching migration is to all of the world's cultures. "Malan Barkir-Bêrîvanê" is a feast for the ears and heart.
