The skirmishes are still going on, but there has been no escalation by either Hezbollah, and Israel has begun to withdraw its troops from southern Lebanon. Meantime, the Presidents of Iran and Syria are boasting that what they call Hezbollah's victory has altered the balance of power in the Middle East. Robin Wright of the Washington Post agrees that things have changed.
