Vice presidential candidates Indiana Gov. Mike Pence and Virginia Senator Tim Kaine take the stage for their first and only debate Tuesday evening at Longwood University in Farmville, Va. While both candidates will have to prove that they have what it takes to step in as president, they’ll also be called on to defend their running-mates.

You can tune into KCRW or listen to at KCRW.com for the debate which starts at 6:00 pm PT / 9:00 pm ET, followed by special NPR coverage.
