Prop. 62: Ending the death penalty

Written by

Prop 62 aims to abolish the death penalty in California. Death penalty supporters and opponents say that the death penalty is too costly, in part due to a lenghty appeals process. Prop. 62 supporters also argue it’s unethical. A different ballot proposal, Prop. 66, also works to address the issue of cost, by aiming to speed up the appeals process.
