Thanksgiving is on Thursday, November 28! Where has this year gone?

You know what else falls on that day? The first day of the Jewish holiday of Hanukkah. And that got a couple of folks thinking about how to incorporate the two into one delicious celebration.

Dana Gitell coined the term “Thanksgivukkah,” which is all the holiday rage. She created a Facebook page with her sister in law Deborah Gitell.

They joined KCRW’s Steve Chiotakis in the studio.

And if you want to celebrate with others, Dana and Deborah Gitell organized a Thanksgivukkah festival at the Pico-Union Project in Los Angeles on Black Friday, November 29.
