This year’s Conservative Political Action Conference is underway in Washington DC. Ron Nehring, a Republican strategist and former chairman of the California Republican Party, spoke to KCRW’s Steve Chiotakis from the annual gathering of conservative activists.

Also joining us is Democratic strategist Garry South, who was invited to the California Republican Party retreat in Ontario this weekend to assess the state of the GOP and basically tell party leaders why they’re doing so poorly in the Golden State.
