SANTA BARBARA MEASURES
Measure B – The county voted yes to increase the transient occupancy tax rate from 10% to 12%.
Measure C – Goleta voted to elect a mayor every two years.
Measure E and F – Isla Vista voted yes by a landslide to form a community services district, but did not approve the 8% utility users tax that would pay for it.
VENTURA RACES
3rd District Supervisor: Kelly Long (54%) beat Carla Castilla (45%)
VENTURA MEASURES
Measure C and F – The county voted yes to extend SOAR measures to 2050.
Measure AA – The county voted no to increase Ventura’s sales tax be by one-half cent to address the county’s transportation needs. It needed two-thirds of the vote to win.
