How L’Antica Pizzeria da Michele, Tesse operate under COVID-19 rules
Francesco Zimone, owner of L’Antica Pizzeria da Michele, is offering customers fresh produce, cooked meals, and pizza kits. He's also giving his staffers higher pay. Meanwhile, Tesse Restaurant owner Jordan Ogron is shifting his business model, and not allowing more than six people inside at a time.
Stay-home orders have forced some LA restaurants to close their doors. Others have shifted to take-out and delivery only. A crafty few have turned their spaces into bodegas or grocery stores with their surplus food. They’re selling everything from toilet paper to broth stock to basic fruits and vegetables.
