The LA Phil is celebrating its 100th anniversary. There’s a big gala downtown tonight, and a huge street party of sorts on Sunday. Adding to that excitement: the LA Phil has a brand new CEO. Simon Woods is replacing Deborah Borda, who led the LA Phil for 17 years. Woods acknowledges he has a tough act to follow.
