Hillary Clinton has officially become the Democratic nominee for president. How is the historic nature of the event playing out with women on the ground in Philadelphia at the Democratic National Convention?
KCRW’s Anna Scott talked to women at the convention. “I really would love to be involved in government one day and having someone that high up that I can look up to – it’s amazing to me,” said 13-year-old Sophia Smith who is attending the convention with her parents, one of whom is a Wyoming delegate.
On Press Play, Slate writer Dahlia Lithwick said that during the 2008 election, women seemed much more fired up for Hillary than now.
