Police in Sacramento today say they’ve caught the man known as the Golden State Killer, East Area Rapist, and Original Night Stalker. He’s blamed for at least 12 killings, 45 rapes, and burglaries in the ‘70s and ‘80s. Joseph James DeAngelo apparently had been living near Sacramento for decades, unknown to neighbors and law enforcement.
