Trump declares national emergency, California sues

President Trump today declared a national emergency to get funding for his border wall. California Gov. Gavin Newsom and Attorney General Xavier Becerra announced hours later they’re suing the administration. Becerra said Trump would divert vital drug enforcement money that California needs to pay for his wall.
