Abortion, religion, the Brethren and politics

Abortion, prayer, Miranda and privacy: The Rehnquist version of the US Supreme Court has handed down critical decisions, with more to come, on matters close to home for the major Presidential candidates. And President Gore or Bush could have up to four appointments to the Court in the next four years. The new appointees could create a majority that may want to, for example, reconsider Roe v. Wade just as a new poll reveals American attitudes shifting on abortion. What about prayer on school grounds? Or your rights to privacy? Will Miranda warnings be dropped? Will Gore or Bush apply a litmus test to their Supreme Court nominees?
