Bush, Blair to Announce Intelligence Inquiries on Iraqi WMD

Without publicly admitting any wrongdoing, President Bush today announced that he will launch an investigation into intelligence reports about Iraq-s weapons of mass destruction. In Britain, last week-s Hutton Inquiry cleared Prime Minister Tony Blair of having exaggerated intelligence reports about Iraq-s WMD, but did not investigate the quality of the intelligence itself. We examine Bush's seemingly contradictory strategy and the pressure it's putting on Blair with Dana Milbank, White House correspondent for the Washington Post, and Mike Evans, defense editor of the Times of London. (This segment was originally broadcast earlier today on To the Point.) Making News: Disney and Pixar Call it Quits The biggest story to hit the entertainment business in months was this weekend-s announcement that Pixar and Disney were splitting up, dissolving one of the most lucrative partnerships in the history of movies. Kim Masters, entertainment reporter for NPR and author The Keys to the Kingdom: How Michael Eisner Lost His Grip, sees Disney's decision as very short-sighted.
