LAUSD Board Approves Two All-Girls Schools
LA Unified's elected school board has approved two new schools for girls only . The Girls Academic Leadership Academy, or GALA, will be in Mid-Wilshire and run by the District. The Girls Athletic Leadership School, also called GALS, will be in Van Nuys. It's a charter school, modeled on one in Denver. The Director is Carrie Wagner.
