Hosted by

Twenty years after “Three Strikes and You’re Out,” there’s evidence that California voters think too much is being spent on prisons that don’t reduce crime. Prop 47 on next week’s ballot would mean sentence reform and early release for some convicts. Is it “common sense” or a “get-out-of-jail-free card?”  We hear both sides.

Also, LA County Firefighters relate to each other off duty as well as on.  Thirteen percent are the sons, brothers and nephews of others.  Will new rules prevent nepotism?
