Janitors strike: Victory for class or race?

Hosted by
The janitors' strike was a big success for the mostly Latino workers in the union. But not everyone is happy. What about African Americans, who say they were undercut by Latino immigrants in similar jobs in the 80's? Will support for the janitors increase simmering tensions? Guests include Miguel Contreras, the head of the LA County Federation of Labor; executive director of the Los Angeles Human Relations Commission Joe Hicks; and LA Weekly executive editor Harold Meyerson, an oft-cited labor issues writer.
