Prop 38 - School Vouchers

Prop 38 on the statewide ballot would provide vouchers to send kids to private schools at public expense. Teachers unions are going all out to defeat it-but the measure also has divided supporters of the voucher idea. We'll get the background today. We'll also ask LA County Supervisors and Union leaders if a strike against county health facilities tomorrow can be avoided. Newsmaker: This is the last day for Californians to register for November's election so they can cast votes for presidential candidates, state legislators, ballot propositions and various local matters.
