- Reporter's Notebook: Life on the Rebound - Researchers have concluded that comets wiped out dinosaurs and other life forms 65 million years ago. Cal-Tech's Sujoy Mukohpadhyay says other life forms recovered rapidly as the result of diminished competition between the species. Dinosaurs, perhaps because of their size, didn't survive the impact as well.
