Los Angeles is home to Israelis and Palestinians alike, and the war in Gaza is hitting home. Max Steinberg was a 24-year old native of Woodland Hills, a graduate of El Camino High School and student at Pierce College. He became a soldier in the Israel Defense Force and yesterday, he was a passenger in a personnel carrier apparently hit by a roadside bomb. Just hours before mourners gathered to remember Max Steinberg, the Israeli soldier from Woodland Hills, about 1,000 protestors marched from the Federal Building in West LA to the Israeli Consulate’s office.
