Does the new plan for Yosemite Valley mean restoration or redevelopment? The Clinton Administration's new plan provides for less parking space, fewer hotel rooms, and turning some roads into bike paths. Yet with one of the world's unique, natural wonders at stake, opposition is coming from all directions. We get some history and perspectives from the park's historian, chief planner, and representatives of the Sierra Club, Wilderness Society, Friends of Yosemite Valley, and Yosemite Campers Coalition.
