1996: Music From My First LA Years
This month marks the 30th anniversary of my move to Los Angeles from my hometown of Buenos Aires. For this month’s Member Mix, I wanted to look back at some of the music I discovered during those first years in LA, along with the musical landscape I found myself becoming part of. You’ll hear bands from Los Angeles that were important to me at the time, as well as records and artists that new friends introduced me to during those early years.
A lot of the music in this mix helped shape who I am today, both personally and musically. It became part of my identity, and listening back now brings me right back to the city I was discovering 30 years ago.
