    Ale's Member Exclusive Playlist

    7 Days of Dance

    Member Exclusive

Created as part of KCRW's collaboration with DoLA

This member-exclusive mix is by no means a definitive history of dance music. It’s simply my own take, with much of the music connected directly or indirectly to Los Angeles. You’ll hear music from some of my favorite LA dance labels, including Adult Contemporary, Sentrall, ESP Institute, Sisters of Sound, and 100% SILK, among others. I’ve always leaned toward the dreamier, more psychedelic side of dance music rather than the straight-up banger, but I hope this makes a good soundtrack for your weeklong exploration of dance music in Los Angeles.

        • Tyler "Boogie" Boudreaux

Part wax, part digital, pure heat. Tyler “Boogie” Boudreaux channels KCRW’s eclectic sound through a kaleidoscope of psych, garage rock, soul, funk, and indie sounds. Vintage records collide with new releases, while house, indie dance, post-punk, trip-hop, darkwave, and unexpected detours keep the boundaries loose. The common thread is energy, groove, and discovery, with one hand in the crates and the other firmly planted in what’s happening now. Tune in to Tyler’s show Thursday nights from 8 to 10pm.
        • Resident DJ

Cornelius is KCRW's Resident DJ for September 2026.

        • Dance24

Dance24 is KCRW’s 24-hour destination for dance and electronic music, curated by KCRW DJ SiLVA. The channel moves across house, techno, disco, global club sounds, experimental electronics, and everything in between, connecting emerging artists and underground scenes with influential records that continue to shape dance floors around the world. Built for continuous listening, Dance24 reflects KCRW’s adventurous approach to music discovery while linking Los Angeles to a wider global dance music community and the evolving sound of contemporary electronic music.
        • John Tejada

John Tejada maps electronic music across time, connecting the underground’s history with the sounds shaping its future. Deep cuts and new releases move through techno, electro, house, ambient, and other corners of electronic music, with each selection building naturally into the next. The show is as much about flow as discovery, tracing the ideas, rhythms, and innovations that continue to push electronic music forward. Expect established innovators alongside emerging producers and overlooked gems from decades past. Tune in to John’s show Tuesday and Saturday nights from 10pm to midnight.

        • SiLVA

A dance-forward mix that moves freely between house, disco, boogie, electronic music, global club sounds, and plenty in between. SiLVA’s sets are built for Saturday night, mixing new tracks, classics, edits, and deep cuts without getting boxed into one genre. The emphasis is on movement, surprise, and keeping the energy alive from one record to the next. Tune in to SiLVA Saturday evenings from 6 to 8pm.
