Alan Cheuse's Prayers for the Living is published by Fig Tree Books, a new publisher dedicated to Jewish-American writing. The "voice of NPR book reviews" takes a singular opportunity – the discussion of his own novel with KCRW's bookworm, Michael Silverblatt.
