    Kevin Wilson's first novel,

    The Family Fang (Ecco) is goofy and sweet-hearted. It's about a family of performance artists. The Fang family's siblings are struggling to leave their parents behind in order to lead a normal life – or, at least, a less nihilistic one. The author, a genial Southerner, has written a rare tribute to normalcy.
