Music
2001 marks an auspicious milestone as Elmer Bernstein becomes the only composer with a body of feature film work spanning half a century. Join us as Gary Calamar interviews Bernstein about his early years and blacklisting, his work with directors from Cecil B. Demille to Martin Scorcese, his collaboration with avant-garde designers Charles and Ray Eames, seeing The Beatles at The Hollywood Bowl, all interspersed with the sounds of many of his classic film scores.
