I would like to send my heartfelt condolences to the family of William “Bill” Binder who for many years ran Philippe’s Restaurant in downtown Los Angeles and has recently passed away. He was 94. Philippe’s, famous for its trademark French dip sandwich, has been an L.A. institution for over 100 years.
