After scrolling through the opportunities for quality discount eating provided by DineLA’s restaurant week, I have a few suggestions.

This year, there are particularly great choices on the higher end of the included restaurants. If you’ve been intimidated by either style or price, use this opportunity to get over yourself and have some outrageous meals at a stifled price. Each of these restaurants has exceptional chefs making approachable and delicious food.

    THE RECS

Lukshon: 3239 Helms Ave, Culver City, CA 90232

Sang Yoon’s Lukshon is doing lunch for the stupid cost of $25. Dinner there is $49.

Spring: 257 S Spring St, Los Angeles, CA 90012

Tony Esnault is offering a $25 lunch and $49 dinner at Spring.

    Redbird: 114 E 2nd St, Los Angeles, CA 90012

Neal Fraser’s Redbird is on the list for dinner at $49.

Providence: 5955 Melrose Ave, Los Angeles, CA 90038

Providence from Michael Cimarusti is offering dinner at $95+ (gotta watch out for the add-ons).

Melisse: 1104 Wilshire Blvd, Santa Monica, CA 90401

Josiah Citrin’s Melisse has a dinner menu for dinner at $95+ (again, watch out for the add-ons).

    NEWBIES

Rossoblu: 1124 San Julian St, Los Angeles, CA 90015

Steve Samson is charging $39 for dinner. A price worthy of some intrigue into the chef’s take on L.A. Italian food.

Hearth and Hound: 6530 Sunset Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90028

The new West Hollywood spot is listed for a $49 dinner. (Yes, I know, but go anyway and tip the employees well. I still love April Bloomfield.)
