Jonathan Gold is the Pulitzer Prize-winning food writer for the LA Times.

This week, Jonathan visits J. Zhou Oriental Cuisine, an ambitious Chinese restaurant located in The District, a sprawling open air mall in Tustin. Serving their elaborate banquet menu by night, Gold says it’s one of Southern California’s “top five” dim sum restaurants by day.

What to order: Order the cheung fan (rice paper rolls), fried chicken knees/feet, har gow (shrimp dumplings) and sweet, silken tofu.

Location: 2601 Park Ave, Tustin, CA 92782 (714) 258-8833

Pro-tip: Try the dim sum.

You can find more of Jonathan’s restaurant reviews here.
