This weekend on Good Food, Professor Amy Rowatdiscusses what her students learn in her Science and Cooking class at UCLA. Amy first launched the class when she was at Harvard. The corresponding lecture series was so popular that the lectures were broadcast for all to see on the Harvard website. She continues the course and accompanying lecture series at UCLA where she is a Professor of Integrative Biology and Physiology. Earlier this year René Redzepi of NOMA came to UCLA as part of Amy’s program. During his lecture he demonstrated a dish made of sand fleas and barley. Hear Amy describe it below.
