There’s no question that Rick Bayless has caused quite a stir here in L.A. He angered a lot of people for claiming to bring Mexican food to L.A. You can read about it on Bill Esparza’s blog Street Gourmet LA, and see Gustavo Arellano’s take in the OC Weekly. We had Rick on Good Food when he opened Red O (hear the interview here) and while he was here, he taped a Guest DJ Project set with Raul Campos. While Bayless’ cuisine is rooted firmly in Mexico, his music choices span the globe.
