Last week, Evan and I grabbed a snack at LACMA’s new Stark Bar — call it a preview for our upcoming Good Food Happy Hour (May 12 at 7 pm). We were thrilled to see green almonds on the menu. Chef Kris Morningstar is serving them roasted with olive oil, chile and salt. They were divine. We even had some onlookers come over for a bite (they thought they were olives). Green olives are only available for a short period of time. Buy they from Fat Uncle Farms at LA-area farmers markets. Here are some other ideas.
