Ever wonder what your ancestors ate? According to this site, humans were snacking on ice cream and marshmallows as early as 2000 BC. Curious? Lynne Oliver, a New Jersey Research Librarian with a passion for food has created The Food Timeline, a chronological food history that lists everything from when the first artichoke was eaten (500BC) to the first funnel cake (1879).

And best of all you can email Lynne any of your food history questions which she will happily answer…for free!
