Last week I traveled east to see my family in Branford, Connecticut. Any trip to the area demands a trip to two places: Lenny’s Indian Head Inn (a lobster and steamers joint) and The Lobster Shack. The latter is new to the Ells family dining repertoire. We discovered it last summer and it became an instant favorite. We can get our lobster fix without having to wait in the endless lines at Lenny’s. I’m not a big fan of mayonnaise in my lobster rolls. The lobster rolls at the Lobster Shack are simple – fresh lobster meat on a toasted buttered, hot dog roll. Add a little salt and it’s heaven. I recommend dental floss immediately following.

I have yet to find a good lobster roll in L.A. Any ideas?
