The Fourth Annual Good Food Pie Contest is Saturday, September 8th at LACMA

Join us on Saturday, September 8th for the Fourth Annual Good Food Pie Contest at LACMA. This year we have five categories:

• Fruit

• Nut

• Cream/Chiffon/Mousse

• Savory

• Metropolis II Inspired (check out Chris Burden’s amazing

Go ahead and ENTER YOUR PIES bakers! You can find all the details you need to know here. Please note – this year we are asking bakers to submit two pies per entry. This way the judges will be able to judge your pies on the whole pie rather than just the slice.

Just like last year we will have music provided by a KCRW DJ, pie tasting, and much more! For pie tasting, guests are asked to find the KCRW Welcome Table in Hancock Park just north of the Ahmanson Building for one free pie tasting ticket. Tickets are limited based on the number of entries and will be given to guests on a first come, first served basis. And don’t forget, if you wear an apron to LACMA the day of the pie contest you will gain free general admission!

We are also excited to feature our first ever EAT & GREET for bakers. Patina will be selling food and refreshments adjacent to the pie display area from 11:30 to 4pm on the day of the contest. After you drop off your pies, bakers are encouraged to grab a bite to eat and mingle with other bakers. Show off your pies and compare baking tips and stories. Feel free to bring your family and friends and make a picnic out of it. Evan Kleiman will make a special appearance at the EAT & GREET as well!
