If you love to cook, live on the westside and haven’t been to Spice Station in Santa Monica yet, a visit is already long overdue. From Aleppo Pepper to Zahtar, the shop has over 200 herbs and spices and over 70 loose teas to choose from. The store, which looks more like an apothecary shop than spice store, also sells it’s own special spice blends such as Ras el Hanout and Berebere. (Perfect holiday gifts for the food lover I might add…)

I left with an ounce of dried Chile Pequin and a long list of “wants” for my next visit. You can find a complete list of herbs and spices here. What would you buy?
