In last week’s show I visited We Olive, a shop specializing in California olive oils. Owner Debby Brooks walked me though some really interesting varieties. I also mentioned in the show that I sometimes us olive oil from Trader Joe’s, which has some inexpensive bottles. I use two different TJ oils. The President’s Reserve Extra Virgin Olive Oil which is usually $5.99 for a 1 ltr bottle, I use for cooking and some salad dressings. Trader Giotto’s Sicilian Selezione, $6.99 for 500ml is good for drizzling. On tomorrow’s show, I’ll talk to Phil Brooks about vinegar.
