Casting directors know where to come to get the best food show contestants/participants… LA. Here are two casting calls that are coming up:

* Master Chef with Gordon Ramsey.

* What They’re Looking For: “Can you cook well despite never having been formally trained? We are currently searching for budding chefs from all walks of life – amateur chefs, passionate foodies, the ultimate dinner party host/hostesses.”

When: January 31, 10a-4p

Where: Sur La Table @ The Farmers Market (6333 W. Third Street, Los Angeles)

Contact: MasterChefLosAngeles@yahoo.com

Judges for this casting include Lucy Lean (Editor, edible Los Angeles), Neal Fraser (Chef BLD and Grace) and JoAnn Cianciulli (Cookbook author and producer). According to the casting directors, there is a chance that these auditions might end up on the show (American Idol-style).

* Grill It! with Bobby Flay

What They’re Looking For: “Interested applicants must be outgoing, fun and able to reproduce their own unique recipe on camera, with flair. Maybe it’s a new take the burger, reinventing seafood on the grill or perhaps a family recipe? Whatever the dish, it needs to be original, grilled and not found in a cookbook!”

When: All entries need to be submitted no later than Friday March 5, 2010

Contact: Email your info and photo to grillitwithbobby@gmail.com.
